The 1" NZMS1 map series as-of 1979 is now complete and available by clicking that little blue plus on the map.

The 1" maps as-of 1969 are currently processing, and work has started on NZMS260 (1:50k) maps that were current at 1999.

The original NZMS1 1st edition (1942-1955) will take longer as they require manual cropping and georeferencing. I've currently done from Wellington to Napier, but these will probably be the last to arrive,

Historic maps have arrived ... currently for the southern North Island (Palliser to Palmerston North). Click the blue '+' on the right of the map and select the map edition you want to display.

Currently the options are:
- NZMS1 One Inch maps from 1942-1955 (edition 1)
- NZMS1 One inch maps from 1970-1980 (last edition)
- Current Topo50/Topo250 maps (2009)

I aim to add the NZMS260 1:50k series from the 1990s too.

This publishing of historic map editions is a separate project, hosted at mapspast.org.nz. But all data should also be available here through routeguides.co.nz.
