One viable ascent route to the Ballarat-Auram saddle from Ballarat Creek. Follow the spur that leads to pt1872, cutting off it only where it peters out into broad tussock faces below the peak. Sidle the faces west into the basin below the pass for an easy walk to the pass summit.
