Picnic area with toilets, grassy flats and river pools. Accessible from Richmond off SH6 by taking Aniseed Valley Road south 2km south of Hope. The picnic area is signposted off Aniseed Valey Road approximately 11km from the state highway.

This is the start of walks into Hackett Hut, Starveall Hut (and the Alpine Route) and Browning Hut and the upper Pelorus. Mountain bike access is possible upriver as far as Hackett Hut.
