Flat ground for pitching tents or car camping at the end of the Lake Monowai Road. Pit toilets and picnic tables provided. Water is a bit of a problem, the only readily accessible source is the lake. Theres a boat launching site beside the toilets so water cleanliness may be an issue. I recommend boiling, treating, or bringing enough from elsewhere for the length of your stay. The short track to the end of McBrides Peninsula is worth the 30 minute return walk.
