A well-designed A-Frame Hut on the north/western bank of the Tukituki River. Daphne Hut has a central kitchen / dining space with a large wood-burner on one side. Both back and from that sleeping platforms, 2 at the back and one above the door at the front, each sleeping 4 comfortably. Both sides of the A have been walled-off with vertical walls. The northern side where the roof approaches the ground has decking and is set up as an excellent drying area. The southern side is the woodstore.
A wonderful, warm hut. A good spot to be in winter.
Note that all access routes require at least one river crossing.
