Carpark and information panel at The Lakes - the south-eastern entrance to the Kaweka Ranges. Access to the carpark is off the Gentle Annie (Napier-Taihape) rd. Depending on logging activity the road used to reach the roadend varies - either the first or 2nd forestry roads east of Kurikapango campground.

Access off the highway is signposted. Roads are dirt, but well maintained and suitable for all vehicles.
