Follow the old pack-track up the short climb from the hut and onto grassy flats. It becomes less clear on the broad flats, but continues upriver some 100m from the creek. A 'bulge' in the beech forest on the riverside is reached after 1km. Following the bushedge you'll find an old pack track descending steeply to the creek at the mid-point of the 'bulge'. This is the short pack-track crossing to Dynamo Red Hut on terraces opposite. The creek crossing can just be hopped over with dry feet in normal flows but floods after rain. The 2-wire bridge made of fencing wire stapled to trees does not look like a particularly safe wet-weather crossing.

From Dynamo Red Hut, cross back to the southern valleyside and pick up the Dynamo-Aurum Basin track as it crosses grassy flats heading downriver. The route is only occasionally poled, but well worn and clear on the ground.
