Head 20m-or-so east of marked trig A9UM along the Blowhard Track to an obvious but unmarked track junction. Follow the track descending north. This drops steeply swinging ENE to the next forks downriver. At the river (ankle deep in normal flows) head 50m or so downriver and find marker tape on the northern bank.

A rougher track climbs ENE up the spur leading to pt1046. This is steep, marked with marker tape only and traverses loose rock-scree under the forest canopy. The track emerges into a scrubby clearing at around the 900m contour and ends. Follow the spur up through the clearing, and through another tongue of beech to a 2nd more open clearing beyond. Follow the eastern / south-eastern bushedge up to where it swings north, and cut through 20m or so of bush to intersect the obvious, marked Bob;s Camp Track.
