From the picnic area at Sunny Bight, the road continues another 300m and ends at a carpark. The track from here is a rough mountainbike track - benched but not smooth. The track follows the lakeshore for 3km to Kent Creek, before starting to climb and drop, over spurs, sidling the valleyside. The two small gravel fans at Kent Creek and Hooker Creek provide the only viable camping spots we saw.

South of Hooker, the climbs and descents continue to Lawyers Delight Beach. From here the track climbs steadily gaining about 150m to a viewing platform below Mt Upright with views down the lake. 1.5km of sidling and zig-zag descent takes you to the carpark on Dorothy Falls Road.
