A 4WD track leads north from Comyns Hut to A-Frame hut. The track crosses the creek just north of Comyns - ankle deep in normal flows and climbs to sidle the eastern valleyside for 2km before returning to the valley floor above the gorge. A further 6 crossings of the creek are required if following the 4WD track, though these could be avoided by walking the tussock valley floor if required. 1km before A Frame hut the track is clearly visible climbing the eastern valleyside again onto terraces above. The 3-bunk A-frame Hut nestles by a creek cut into these terraces.\
