A fairly straight forward unmarked route runs up the next spur downriver of Bush Hut providing access to Mae West Biv.

Follow the Dingle Burn Valley Track down river, crossing the next sidecreek (ankle-knee deep) and climbing onto terraces 80m above the river. As the track flattens out to sidle, pick up any good deer trail heading south towards pt810. Going is scrubby/ferny at first but open up after a few hundred meters. Scrubby patches follow but can be circumnavigated by picking out deer trails. The ridgeline is vague south of pt810 so work on map/compass to reach the steep climb to pt1113. Once at the highpoint the ridgeline is open and generally above the busheline with one brief scramble after 600m. Leave the ridgeline at the low high point befored it swings east to climb to pt1812. Instead follow the spur SSE towards the forks in the head of the valley. The spur becomes scrubby after a bit but the eastern face is open with good deer trails, though steep.

Once in the creek, descend to the forks if necessary and then follow the clear spur climbing due south from the forks. Mae West Biv is hidden 60m east of the spur, just below the bushedge.
