A straight forward route connects Glen Roy Racemans Hut and the Remarkables Skifield From Gen Roy Racemans Hut, head briefly upriver to the forks just above the hut and cross the creek to the south bank. Climb the spur between the two forks, and then once on obvious terraces/gentler slopes sidle west on the south side of the northern branch of Doolans. Make a sidling climb to 1600m to get above bluffs / gorges in the valley below. It is possible to continue at this height on gentle faces to the tarns above the corner in the valley. From the tarns, pick up the obvious spur climbing past pt1771 to saddle 1934. All but the last 50m is a gentle climb, with a brief scramble to the ridgeline. From here an easy but steep descent takes you to the head of ski-runs in the Remarkables Skifield which can be followed down to the carpark. 4hrs
