Pick up terraces on the TL (east) of Snowy Gorge at the confluence with the stream leading to Hideaway Biv. Follow these terraces until they end at the turn in the valley - poles and tape mark cut routes through a couple of bands of scrub. Ideally, cross the Snowy where the flats and and take advantage of good travel on the TR. Pick the best bank as conditions permit , with most travel on the TL (east). Climb the east fork into the upper basin, where Snowy Gorge Hut is hidden behind a low ridge of medial moraine in the centre of the otherwise flat valley.
