The track starts at 640m just 20m north of the 'bushedge' shown on the map. It is hard to spot. A tight 'V' in the scrub adjacent to the bushedge looks like a creek, but is the start of the track. There may be old flagging tape present.

Follow the rough steep track down until it meets and overgrown 4wd track 60m above the road. A series of zigzags follow exiting onto the highway 50m north of the Camp Creek bridge.

An old stock track climbs the spur north of Camp Creek. The track starts 50m north of the bridge and was not marked (2021). Look for an overgrown 4WD track cutting back south above the highway.

Follow the overgrown, unmarked track as it zigzags between terraces for the first 80 vertical meters above the highway through bush & tall scrub. After that the track become more of a stock/pack track and climb steeply up the spur adjacent to Camp Creek. The track emerges into tussock at 640m (just where the current (2021) topomap shown the first C of Camp Creek).

The track is not maintained or marked but foot traffic was keeping it open in 2021.
