From Crown Peaks descend 50m into the basin to the north and sidle out back west onto the ridgeline (if you did not visit the summit you can stick to the ridgeline from the ridge intersection and avoid this).

The ridgeline is tricky in places to pt1639 with 3 or 4 rocky scrambles. Game trial indicate the route off each rocky outcrop.

(It is probably possible to ascend north to pt1914 and follow the ridgeline to pt1999 Teat Ridge on tussock on the northern face. I did not try this).

From saddle 1639 sidle east into basins where there is a tarn, campspots and water in the heads of several creeks. Sidle the southern face of the ridgeline at around 1700m staying below bluffs. Sidle past pt1999 to the spur the climbs to the peak from the SE. Climb this spur to the summit on first stable rock-scree and later very loose gravel - tough, slow going.
