From The Rogue track junction the track drops to the next creek north, which it follows upriver some 700m, then cuts NE over a small spur to the next creek and the site of the former Kaweka Biv (toilet and camping spots remain). The track then returns downriver 500m to end up 100m from where it started. Daft, and not shown on the map.

From here on the map is accurate, the track sidling east, crossing a couple of small streams - descents / ascents of no more than 40m. Finally, 800m from the Mackintosh Track junction, it drops 100m to Kaiarahi Creek, and climbs the far side. A good cut track through beech, pines and manuka throughout its length.
