After gaining the Weary Summit ridge, sidle on the northern side working through bedrock and/or snow depending on the time of year. After passing the summit, find a suitable gully to gain the ridge and cross to the Macfarlane side.
Traverse on the Macfarlane side to reach the ridge on the true right of Blackfoot Creek. Descend the ridge on easy tussock slopes to reach the bush. There is no scrub zone. Descend through the bush keeping away from Blackfoot Creek, it was necessary to make several short abseils over some very steep terrain/bluffs towards the bottom.
