From Dodger Hut cross the stream near the hut and, ignoring the obvious 4WD track, climb up the bank at the northern end of the Dodger Fan. There is a poled route across the fan which keeps reasonably close to the top of the bank above the Hopkins. The markers descend to river level near where the bridge is marked on the map. In November 2023 THE BRIDGE DOES NOT EXIST! If you want to cross the Hopkins you need to ford it. Cross the extensive rocky flood debris of Dodger Stream and make your way down the Hopkins to a safe crossing place. There was a series of islands and smaller channels near the southern end of the Dodger fan in November 2023 which were easy to cross. The marker poles resume on the true right side of the valley, above the banks shown on the map. Follow these to Cullers Hut. Theres a 4WD track that climbs up to the hut, which is well hidden in a grassy clearing away from the Hopkins.
