The marked tramping track up the Sth Temple passes the tarn marked on the map, and deopsits you at the stream just beyond, where it ends. From here follow the streambed upriver towards the pass. Once pas the scrub, going is easy on tussock and later rock. The last 800m to the pass are a steady climb on semi-loose rocky scree, or steep tussock (you choose). The southern scree seemed easier going than that on the northern face.
