The Arahura-Styx pack track is benched, easy and in excellent condition, sidling through the gorged section of the river before dropping to the flats near Mudflats Hut. It’s an easy stroll from the Newton Creek turnoff to Mudflats Hut, which is reached via another swingbridge.
