Follow the 2WD road to its end at the ford of Robert Creek. Cross the ford and follow the track up the west bank - marked by DOC green/yellow posts. The track climbs several hundred meters and sidles through pine forestry, dropping for 2 side creeks.
After climbing out of the 2nd creek, a forks with 'Ross Spur Rd' marks the (private) turnoff op Ross Spur. Continuing along the main track leads to another creek crossing, just after which a right turn drops to a clearing where the private Robert Creek Hut is located on the park boundary.
Legal 4WD access runs to the hut, and about 3km beyond up Way Spur.
The main creek crossing is knee deep in normal flows, and the 2 side creeks ankle deep.
