From Glen Nevis station, follow the Glen Nevis access track along farm tracks as it climbs to the covenant land above. The covenant, starting at 1000m, has guaranteed public access. Follow the fenceline up to the summit at Lorn Peak. Follow the ridgeline north to the next peak, pt 1678, then descent the tussock spur to Drummond Creek.

Drummond Creek Hut is hidden amidst gold-mining tailings on the valley floor, below a copse of silver beech.
