A good 4WD track runs up the true left (east) of Robert Creek from the Mataura / Robert Creek forks. This is normally passable in 2WD but has some ruts and soft spots to avoid. The track is a legal easement through farmland so the usual restrictions around dogs & firearms outside vehicles apply.
