The 4WD track continues north of A-Frame Hut, climbing on terraces east of Turtons Stream before dropping back to the stream at Turtons Saddle. A zig-zag takes the 4WD track down the steep face into Glenrock Stream, and it then follows the valley floor downriver until it exits onto the sloping farmland faces of the Raikaia valley. The remaining 2km to Double Hill Runs Road are a sparsely poled, unformed route down Glenrock Stream, exiting onto the road at a signposted gate just east of the stream.
