The 4wd track continues east along the north shore of Lake Guyon, becoming vague at the head of the lake. Follow the lake shore south, crossing the stream feeding the lake, and pick up the poled route / 4wd track again on the south bank. The track skirts marshy flats before making a short, steep climb to the saddle with Stanley Vale.
Stanley Vale Hut is tucked against a patch of beech forest on the western valleysude, 50m off the track, and is signposted. The junction with the Fowler Pass Track / Stanley River Track is at the hut.
