A long 5-pass route connects Two Mile and Glen Roy Racemans Huts.
From Two Mile, head briefly upstream and climb north to the saddle into the South Wye at pt1659. From the saddle climb east up the ridgeline until the gradient eases and then follow gentle basins / slopes west at around 1900m, staying below bluffs to pass pt2075 on the north side.
A steep descent from the saddle north of pt2075 takes you down to a small tarn at the head of Stewarts Creek. From here a gentle climb through scree basins leads NW to the saddle into the Nevis (between pt2050 and pt2127).
Descend into the Nevis, swinging west with the valley but losing no further altitude, sidling the north valleyside at around 1400. Make a sidling climb over the next 2km to swing north into the 1st main side-valley on terraces to its west. These terraces lead to the outlet of the tarn at its head, where a 200m moderate climb leads to the pass into Doolans Creek (Left Branch) between pt2010 and pt 2026.
Follow the spur north down into the Doolans, and then head 500m upriver to where a side-valley enters from the north. Climb the spur to the east of the waterfalls that drain the valley. I continued up the spur, keeping above tussock, and sidled a gentle gradient to the pass at it's head. The creek is another option once above the initial falls, but looked to be slow going with tall tussock.
A 4WD track runs along the ridgeline between the Left and Right Branch of Doolans Creek. Follow it briefly west and then descend the steepening spur directly to Glen Roy Racemans Hut. Sections of bluff lower on the spur can be bypassed to the east.
