From the Stour Forks, head west across the open untracked valley towards the northernmost spur climbing east to Woolshed Creek. There is a fenceline on the spur - making it obvious.
Cross a short boggy area to reach the base of the spur and then climb it, picking up the fenceline soon after. Two low scrubby sections exist but there are good game trails near to the fence. The fenceline intersects the Woolshed Creek 4WD track at a gate at the summit. Woolshed Crek Hut is 200m away to the north in the valley.
