An unformed legal road runs south along the range branching off the Crown Peak Track at the unnamed highpoint 1km south of Crown Peak. The legal road enter public conservation land 400m north of pt1420 and from here you can make your way over pt1363 and down to the carpark t the summit of the Crown Range Road.

From the carpark at the summit of Crown Range Road, public conservation land north-west of the road give access up the face to Mt Scott and along to pt1426. 400m north of pt1426 PCL ends and you are left to follow the line of an unformed legal road running on or just west of the ridgeline until you intersect the poled Crown Peak Track 1km south of Crown Peak.
