From Devils Creek Hut, head south to the Stone Huts track junction. Head due east & immediately begin climbing as the track zig-zags its way up the ridge. The track briefly eases in gradient at the 900m contour, before one final push to the top of pt. 1066. Beyond this, the track drops into a bush saddle that separates Foster & Devils Creeks. It crosses to the south-eastern side of the ridge & sidles in & out of gullies, before climbing to Fosters Clearing, with Fosters Hut not far away.
