Good animal trails lead east-west along the ridgeline between Cone and pt1485, sidling scree on the north face in places. Cone can be bypassed to the north on animal trails 100m below the summit for those heading further.
Cone is a double-peak. The lower western peak is easily ascended by following the ridgeline. The eastern peak is a tricky scramble.
