Off track route through Doughboy Bay wilderness. There are old plastic ties throughout this route, but they are old and many have fallen off.
It is easy to lose the 'track' and therefore you need to be able to navigate confidently. We lost the 'track' multiple times but eventually picked up a marker again.
This was done with a group of 4 which definitely helps when trying to spot the markers. (ie more eyes!)
The bush is mostly reasonable going, but at times became scrubby which was slow going.
The old 'track' has been machete cut in places which helps.

After crossing the major stream, there is a significant flat area. However this is damp and not good for camping. We camped on the spur to the SE of the stream.
