From Karangahake Gorge car-park cross suspension bridge turn left and cross 2nd bridge. Follow sign to start of Windows Walkway( Take a head-torch as there are tunnels on this track and also on the Waitawheta pipeline track). When arriving at the bridge crossing the Waitawheta River go down the stairs to join Waitawheta Pipeline Track. Follow to next swing bridge and junction with Dobbbo96 Track.
Route is all well maintain fairly level track, following an old tramway, with cool views of the river gorge.
