Roaring Stag Lodge is visible in the valley below Cattle Ridge.
A good but steep cut, marked tramping track drops down the ridge from Cattle Ridge, first through leatherleaf and later through good bush. Steep & slippery - but easy to follow. The river at the base is bridges and the hut is just opposte.
