From Dun Saddle, a poled route climbs steeply onto the flat tops of Dun Mountain. A good ground trail exists, but poles are sparse. Once on the tops the route becomes flat and runs 500m NE to the small Dun Hut / Dun Shelter, at the foot of the final climb to the summit.
