tonight when I click a route segment on the map, it changes colour, then it does load the route segment info on the right but slowly -- can take 6 -10 secs? - (i'm not having any other speed or connection issues at present) -- while I'm waiting there is no indication that anything is happening. Perhaps on other days it was just timing out.

Well, I've been right through the code and made some improvements to make it less susceptible to problems in this area - but I can neither reproduce the issue, nor see what might cause it.,

Does the problem still occur?
When you hover over a place / route, does the name display next to it?
When you click on a place / route does the 'Loading ...' text appear above the map, the same as it does when you click on a link?
If so, does the 'Loading ...' text disappear after a bit, or remain there for ever? It it disappears, what is it replace with? ('Error', 'Timeout', ')

Hi Hugh. Same Chrome version as me ... hmm. Will think on this one, but away for the next couple of days.

If you have the time / inclination, bring up the site as usual, press F12 to bring up Chrome's 'developer tools' window. Click on 'Console' tab on the developer tools. Then, back on the web site, try and click on a place / route to navigate to it's info page. Let me know if any errors come up in the console.

Will look at this as soon as I'm back.

Cheers for your persistence & patience.

clicking on route or place, any zoom level, has no effect . Chrome Version 39.0.2171.65 m reloaded and ctl f5.

Hovering - (just moving the cursor over) changes the colour of the route on the map. Click - single or double - no effect. Used to work but can't say how long ago.

Has this ever worked for you (clicking on a place/route to see the details) or is this a new issue?

(it's single click, by the way, not double - which is standard for any browser link).

I'm puzzled. What you describe has been the way the map works from day 1. Click on something and it displays on the right.

The only change is that I've disabled this when you zoom out to beyond the point at which the paces turn off (buttons turn grey) , as it was taking too long to load the links.

But it all still seems to work fine for when you're zoomed in to the point where places are shown (and the links ont he top of the map go green).

On the map, when i find something (any route segment or place) I want to double click on it and see the relevant record come up on the right.
