Taken from where the Boyd Creek track clears the bush, looking towards the Countess Range. Keep high above swampy ground to reach Walker Creek and then climb slopes above it to reach the low point of the Countess Range for an easy crossing to the Upukerora River. Peak 1690 is an easy side trip.
