Follow the markers and in places the very well established benched track. Near the start a double crossing of the creek is required then the track stays on the TR bank untill close to the hut there is a final creek crossing to the left . A couple of significant side creeks are crossed - its NOT an all weather route. In places the track negotiates significant drops and detours around recent slips. As DOC puts it on their website - "Please note that Camp Creek Track is categorised as a “route”.
The creek runs through several major gorges. The track is not very accurately marked on the map.
This track has stream crossings and hazardous fall heights. Users must be experienced in backcountry tramping."
