This route is through PNCC-owned forestry. You should check with them before entering.

From the locked gate at Scotts Roadend, head over the bridge and 100, or so to where a track forks east, crossing the river and climbing the opposite valleyside. The creek must be forded and is normally small and ankle deep. Follow this track up the spur onto the tops and then SE to pt510. The highpoint is marked by an obvious X of wide, grassed forestry tracks.
