Head up the Spur behind Cow Creek Hut on the track towards Arete Forks. After a 300m climb the track cuts west off the spur. Ignore the track and continue up the spur. An old, unmaintained track follows the spur and is easily followed to the bushedge. Once on tussock, climb the remaining 200m to pt1390 on good tussock then follow the ridgeline round the head of North Mitre Creek until you reach Brockett Highpoint. Travel is unmarked, but good going all the way on short tussock and good rock.
Track start is sign posted from Arete Sidle track and well marked to bush edge. Once at bush edge bear right onto ridge proper where there is a cairn. Follow cairns up ridge.
