Cross the bridge up from the hut and immediately begin to climb gaining 300m before swinging to the right and crossing an obvious gully.

Continue climbing, more moderately, to the fixed bridge and cross the the TL. Climbing again, moderately first then steeply to Rees Saddle.

A rough track initially, it drops steeply before descending more moderately to the fixed bridge crossing to the TR. Note that this bridge is removed in winter because of avalanche risk.

From the bridge, the track drops height, contours a litle and drops again to a gully then gains the main ridge and descends to the bridge immediately before Dart Hut
