A good quality track heads up the true left of the Young through bush and grass flats to the Young North branch. A bridge across the north branch is nearly a kilometer upstream, under normal flows to save time you can ford the north branch from the flats and connect with the track on the other side. The camp site is a short distance up the true right of the north branch.

Note: few if any of the side streams are bridged. Under normal conditions they are fine to cross but usually involve wet boots. They could prove problematic after rain.
