Cross the bridge at the northern end of Pearl Flat where a signpost points the way to Liverpool hut. The track climbs relentlessly straight up through the bush and is a bit rough due to erosion. Once at the bush line the hut is visible off to the southwest but it is very important not to sidle towards it, but instead stick to the markers and follow them about 100m higher up the hill. People have died trying to shortcut to Liverpool hut! The track arches around and then drops down to approach the hut from the northwest.
