A rough route, scrubby in places drops to the Irthing from the next peak north of Mt Bee Bunkrooms via pt722.
Follow the 4WD track north from Mt Bee Bunkrooms, and then climb the peak - this may be easier from the western side. Drop the long ridge descending east towards pt722. Going is great at first on good deer trails, but at around 700m the deer disappear elsewhere and you must descend through thick fern-scrub in the bush to reach the saddle with pt722. Climb to pt722, avoiding the worst of the pole beech by sticking slightly north of the ridgeline. Cross the clearing to pt722, and drop east down the major spur. Going is scrubby at first but soon becomes good and open. Swing ENE towards the base of the spur, following good deer trails, to hit the Irthing at the next forks north (avoiding steep scrub further south). Follow the river south to the large clearing where you can pick up the Mansion Hut track on the opposite bank. The river is generally knee deep, and can be impassable after rain.
