It is currently not necessary to cross the Poulter when travelling between Trust Poulter and Worsley Biv unless you want to visit Poulter Hut. If so, cross the Poulter River downstream of Poulter Hut (shin deep in normal flows, can easily flood) and head up a poled track, grassyand open but interspersed with scrub . Otherwise you can stay on the true right of the Poulter river, only crossing small side streams until Trudge Stream is reached after 1.5km. Trudge Stream is usually shin deep if you cross it using a large bouldered bar at the outlet where it is broadest. It could be an issue to cross after rain.

500m upriver of Trudge, a large cairn and large orange triangle on the southern bank of the Poulter marks a short track to Worsley Biv in a clearing 50m from the river.
