An unmaintained cattle track runs up the south/west/true right bank on Minaret Burn from Boil The Billy Hut to the top forks. Note that the east/north/true left of the creek is private land.
From Boil the Billy Hut a well trodden but overgrowing cattle track sidles upriver through patchy scrub, generally 20m above the river but later climbing to faces 60-or-so meters above. The track ends after 2km at broad flats of low grass which continue a further 6km to the scrubline at the top forks.
