Follow the riverbed upstream from Telford Hut. For the most part the bed is broad and good travel on gravel & small stones - assuming the level is low. Take the 3rd side-creek on the right after leaving the bush - leading to the saddle into the Redcliff. There is a brief scramble through bluffs about 1/3 od the way up, but otherwise it's a straight forward climb.
Drop into the head of the Redcliff, then descend from the head basin towards the main valley, hugging the western valleyside. As the hanging valley leading to Windy River Col opens up to your left sidle west into that valley. Cross the mouth of the valley north and climb onto the low spur that drops to Redcliff Hut. Follow the spur down. The last 100m is steep and scrubby, but with care you can pick open leads down to the bushedge. Redcliff Hut is 20m inside the bush at the base of the spur.
