A good tramping track runs down the true right of the Karamea from Crow Hut to Karamea Bend Hut. The track is generally flat on good river terraces. The Karamea Bend staff hut is reached about 1/2km before the public hut. Between the two is a steep sidle section across a slip which is well benched but exposed.
