A well maintained tramping track runs down Sawpit Gully from Eichardts Flat. After 1km the creek is joined by another dropping from the north. The tumble-down remains of an old hut lie 40m north of the track up this creek.
From here the track follows the creekbed for 200m with frequent crossings before sidling the north face of the gully down to join the Arrow Gorge Track 40m south of Norman Spence Bridge. The sidle section is well benched,
