From the small upper flats follow the creek upstream via rock hopping to evade the worst of the scrub until at the rubble coming down from Fraser Col. Upstream of here the gradiant of the stream steepens and it is easier to climb away up the slopes on the true right. Large scree and rock fields beneath Pt1952 can be sidled through to reconnect with the stream at about the 1240m contour where there is scattered camping amoung the boulders on the true left.
