From the signposted turnoff to Parks Peak, Yeomans Track continues along the base of the hills, snaking in and out of several small valleys. The old tramway has a gentle gradient and is broad, well cut though muddy in places. All creeks are bridged. Cyclists use this route.

The track ends at a junction at an old chimneystack at the end of Yeomans Road. Taking the right-hand (eastern) track, drop gently through beech forest on the 4WD track to the start of pine forests. From here the metaled Ellis Road continues east 500m to the historic Ellis Hut.
